The Delano Nursery Story

Delano Nursery Inc. was founded in 1922 by Andrew Nicolini Sr. on Delano Avenue in San Francisco, California. Andrew and his wife Candida had two sons, Fred Nicolini and Andrew Nicolini. After they served in World War II, both sons joined their father in the nursery industry.

Fred's son, John Nicolini grew up with the nursery in his backyard, He attended El Camino High School in South San Francisco and then went to San Mateo Junior College, graduating with an AA degree in Business in 1974. He joined the family business and is the current owner of Delano Nursery.

Delano Nursery Inc. has been a member of the San Francisco Flower Growers Association since it's inception, specializing in interior foliage plants.
